Katrina Mynard is profoundly deaf and has grown up in the JPC community. She joined the JPC team in 2006 however she has been working with the deaf for more than 25 years. Katrina is the Pastoral Care Coordinator at JPC and her passion is to educate Deaf people about their choices, help them to understand their rights and help them to feel empowered. Katrina is dedicated to the Deaf Catholic community of Melbourne, encouraging people to participate in Auslan mass, special religious ceremonies and social gatherings and community activities.

Katrina also teaches Auslan to a variety of age groups and is extremely proud of Australian Sign Language and her Deaf culture. Katrina also has a hearing son who uses Auslan fluently.
